Oldfarm Black Pudding & Apple

We recently shared Alfie’s recipe for Black Pudding (blood sausage).  It has proved to be hugely popular, lots of you seem to have tried it, which is wonderful to hear.

We thought we’d share this recipe which is a quick and easy starter, or even works for breakfast.  Before we had our own pudding we would have used Inch House pudding… so if you can go for that.  Obviously this is so much nicer with a good quality pudding.

Oldfarm Black Pudding & Apple

Ingredients:

  • Butter
  • Black Pudding – allow 2 or 3 slices per person
  • Eating Apples – sliced
  • Honey (optional)

Method:

Heat a little butter in a frying pan.  Cook your black pudding first, turning a couple of times to ensure it is cooked through.  Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

In a separate pan, heat some more butter and gentle cook your sliced apple.

Arrange your apple and black pudding on warmed plates and serve with a little drizzle of honey, if desired.

Totally delicious…. enjoy!
